A Six-Week Journey of Self-Discovery Through Photography

What if the way you've always seen yourself isn't the whole picture?

Throughout our lives, we collect stories about who we are. Some come from the people who love us. Others come from experiences, expectations, judgments, and moments we've carried for years.

Over time, those stories can become the lens through which we see ourselves.

But what happens when we begin to look through a different lens?

The Last Apology: Through the Lens is a six-week, in-person creative experience that uses photography, reflection, storytelling, and conversation to explore how we see ourselves—and how we might choose to see ourselves differently.  What is the last apology?  The one that you give yourself for ever having apologies to anyone else for being exactly who you are.

You don't need to be a photographer. You don't need a special camera. And you certainly don't need to have anything figured out.

Each week offers opportunities to explore perspective, light, focus, the stories behind our images, and the spaces we create for ourselves. Through simple photographic experiences and meaningful conversations, we'll consider what we've been carrying, what still belongs to us, and what we may be ready to release.

This is not about taking perfect photographs.

It's about discovering what becomes possible when you give yourself permission to see differently.

Our small-group setting creates room for curiosity, laughter, reflection, and connection. You are always free to participate and share in ways that feel right for you.

Maya Manseau

Creator of The Last Apology | Photographer, Author & Creative Facilitator

Maya Manseau is a photographer, author, and creative facilitator who has spent decades exploring the ways perspective shapes our understanding of ourselves and the world. She created The Last Apology to invite people to question the stories they've inherited, explore the beliefs they've carried, and rediscover the freedom to see themselves differently.

Through photography, storytelling, curiosity, humor, and meaningful conversation, Maya creates experiences where people can explore their own discoveries while witnessing and supporting one another. She believes we don't need to become someone new to discover our worth—we can begin by questioning what we've come to believe about who we already are.
